Oral Communication Final preparation

Following is the notes from my Oral Communication Final preparation,question number six: Financial IQ.

Alice: Hey, I am a little bit curious about your spending habits. Will you make a shopping list or make a budget before you go shopping?
Laro : Oh yes, I always will make a shopping list before I go shopping. I find it is a useful way to control my money spending, and at this time I will think more about things I am going to buy.
Peng: Ha! As for me, no never! I always just watch at my wallet and say “oh, I just can spend 200 dollars today” and then go out. I seldom think so much before I go shopping.
Eva: Well, I sometimes will think a little bit about my budget before I go shopping. Sometimes, not every time.
Christine: Then, will you keep your mind on your spending when you are shopping?
Laro: Uh, most of the times, yes. It’s not easy, but it is really an efficient way to control your cash. However, I will lose my control sometimes.
Zoe: So, what are your standards when you are buying things? The look, the price, the brand, the quality, or the function, or anything else?
Alice: I think the quality is the most important. If you buy a thing that is not so good and it break very soon, that actually is a waste of time and money. The look is important too. How can you stand on using an ugly thing for a long time?
Eva: I think “brands” is one way when choosing from several items. Sometimes brands means that they are recognized by the majority.
Peng: Hey, will you make a record after you buy things?
Zoe: No, that’s troublesome. Why ?
Christine: Uh, actually, yes I will. Since I am in the accounting department, my mother always says “do you know exactly how much you spend per day? “ So I have the habit that keep a buying record recently.

Final

The final exam are coming and the first semester of my college life is ending! Time really pass soon. There are a lot of things waiting for me to do and a lot of materials waiting to study, so I think I won't appear on the blog next ten days. Well, I hope I'll have a good end of the smemster.

Look back and look forward

It's always a good time to look back and make a new plan for future during new year's time.

Let's separate last year (2007) into two parts, senior high school part and college part. In fact, I was unhappy at the first part. I was unhappy with how I did things, unhappy with what I have down, and, unhappy with myself. Just unhappy at that time. However, there were happy times, though. For example, I think I did learn some that time.

For the second part, I think I'm getting used to college life, getting used to spend about 3 to 4 hours per day on traffic. It's tired! And my majors are not easy, actually, headaches. Well, I will try to handle my studies as hard as I can.

Hey ! I just watched Taipei 101's frame work ! It was as splendid as usall, however I feel it was shorter than berfore. Someone said that because this time used big shots rather than smaller but constantly ones compared with last time's fire work.

Joyeux Noël !

It is Christmas night now, so Merry Christmas to all of you.

I remenbered that at last week's class we were discussing " what does Christmas mean to you " . I've read that some of the western press who were amused that " Asian people are celebrating Christmas " are unhappy now. They say that " Asian people don't know the meaning of the Christmas. They think Christmas is just a reason for crazy shopping. "

For western people, Christmas is really a holiday and is a day for family gathering, kind of like Chinese New Year. However, let's just take a specific look in Taiwan, Chistmas does not mean so much. As for me, it doesn't mean so much either, but it is a still good day to send cards to friends. Since I often forget their birthday, it is a good way to show my care for them ( laugh) . So on Christmas days I won't go to church, not sure will have a dinner with family, maybe send some cards to friends, definitely will buy something. That is how I often celebrate Christmas and, I guess, what Christmas means to me.

And, someone keep saying that Dec.25th is not only Jesus Christ's birthday but also our Constitution's birthday !

History Report

O-oh! I almost forget to revise my blog!

Now I’m writing my history report which is due newt Wednesday. This work ask us to introduce one place’s history and there monuments where we were assigned before. Our group were assigned to do the 三峽 part, and I have to introduce the 李梅樹紀念館 .

The museum is not far from the school, you can take the Bus 910 at the back door and get of at the 安溪國小 stop. This museum is small but warm, since the museum is run by the artist 李梅樹’s family . The way they guide the paintings are different from the guide who has no relationship with the paintings. Actually, there are the models of the paintings!

The museum is worth visiting and I hope I can visit the museum once one day.

Feeling Bad.

I know that I have left here about three weeks. I am feeling bad to see that it is so vacant here. Not just saying something pretty, but that is exactly how I feel. I feel like I broke a promise, a promise to myself. I have told myself to write at least once a week and to keep the blog fresh. I did want to. But I fall to do it.

It is time to change.
